Origins

Manna Mission was founded by Chalfonte Lark, a devoted servant of God from the United States whose journey of faith and service began with a deep personal calling. Though he initially pursued biblical studies, he made the difficult decision to step away from Bible school, feeling he was not yet fully prepared for the path ahead. As he sought spiritual growth and direction, he built a career in the insurance industry, helping individuals secure their futures. However, during this time, he felt a stronger pull—a divine calling to deepen his relationship with God and dedicate his life to serving others.

As he grew in faith, God placed a mission on his heart—to reach out to the most vulnerable, especially youth, women, and children, by providing them with food, shelter, and care. Obedient to this calling, Chalfonte began his ministry in the United States, officially registering Manna Mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to ensure lasting impact. His mission quickly extended beyond U.S. borders, leading him to Asia, where he provided support to those in need. Now, he is actively working in the Philippines, continuing to spread hope and love through humanitarian efforts.

Yet, the journey does not stop there. God is now leading him to focus the majority of his work in Africa, where countless children and families face extreme poverty, homelessness, and hunger. Chalfonte believes that this next phase of Manna Mission will bring life-changing transformation to communities across the continent, offering both physical aid and spiritual restoration to those who need it most. Through unwavering faith and action, Manna Mission continues to be a beacon of hope, touching lives and transforming futures around the world.
